Aims
This course covers Jewellery skills at both NQ Intermediate and NQ Higher levels. The course provides an introduction to a range of jewellery techniques and is designed to provide basic skills in the use of jewellery tools and equipment. This course has been developed to provide essential training and experience in jewellery and manufacture with basic design skills being an important aspect. You can use this to gain the grounding for a successful design career or to enhance and expand your hobby creating jewellery.
Structure
This course can be studied over one year full-time or two years part-time. Assessment is on a continuous basis throughout the duration of the course. The course is delivered in our well-equipped jewellery workshop.
Progression
From the NQ Intermediate course, you can progress on to the Jewellery NC Higher course. On successfully completing the NC course you have the option of progressing to the HNC in Jewellery at Carnegie College or to an art related degree course at Art College.
